Teaching Personnel is recruiting Early Career Teachers across all subjects for long-term supply positions in secondary schools across Sunderland from September 2026. If you're completing your PGCE this summer and looking for the right school to begin your career in, this is worth your attention.

• Planning and delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4 in your subject specialism
• Assessing student progress and adapting your teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and classroom management
• Contributing to departmental planning and whole-school events
• Completing your ECT induction with school and Teaching Personnel support
• Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities

• QTS or on track to achieve it by September 2026
• A degree in your subject specialism
• Enthusiasm, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to your development as a teacher
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

• MPS/UPS salary - £32,916 to £51,048 depending on experience
