Learning Support Assistant

Vision for Education
is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in an SEN School in Dudley full-time.

• As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of students.
• You will work alongside a class teacher and a team of experienced support staff, providing tailored assistance to students with severe and profound learning difficulties.
• The role involves working with students aged four to nineteen, either one-on-one or in small groups, to help them achieve their potential.
• This is a full-time position, with the potential to become ongoing for the right candidate.

• The school caters to students with a range of special educational needs, including physical, sensory, and complex needs.
• The school follows a deeply embedded ethos that promotes success for every student.
• It is focused on creating a stimulating and supportive environment to foster each student's growth and development.
• The school is easily accessible from Stourbridge, Oldbury, and Halesowen.

To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant position, you will:

• Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and sensory needs.
• Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
• Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
• Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
