Pay: £95–£110 per day (dependent on experience)

Full-time, long-term (until at least Christmas, with potential extension into Spring Term)

About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sunderland. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity working within Key Stage 1 (KS1), supporting pupils in their early stages of education.

The role is expected to continue until at least the Christmas break from September, with a strong possibility of extension into the Spring term for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting children’s academic and social development
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
  • Up to 1 year of experience working in a primary school classroom
  • Experience with in KS1 is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
