Teacher Active is proud to be working with a large secondary school in Sunderland in their search for a School Caretaker. The school has a large site and requires a dependable individual who can help maintain a safe, secure and well-kept environment for pupils and staff.

The school is looking to take on a School Caretaker on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful School Caretaker will be responsible for general maintenance across the site, supporting the day-to-day upkeep of the premises and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.

The successful School Caretaker will have:

Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance or premises role is ideal
Experience carrying out general maintenance tasks
Good knowledge and awareness of health and safety
Ability to work effectively across a large school site
A practical and proactive approach to work
Reliability and a ‘can-do’ attitude
