Hours: Monday-Friday, school hours
Pay: £31,650-£51,048 per annum / PAYE, dependent on experience and qualifications
Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher to work with pupils across primary and early secondary age groups within a specialist setting in Sunderland.
This is an opportunity for a creative and adaptable teacher who enjoys finding different ways to engage pupils and make learning accessible.
The Role- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons
- Support pupils with a range of SEND
- Adapt resources and teaching strategies
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support where appropriate
- Develop communication and independence
- Support positive behaviour and classroom routines
- Assess and record pupil progress
- Work towards EHCP outcomes
- Build strong relationships with pupils
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other professionals
We're looking for someone who is:

Previous SEND experience is desirable, but we are also happy to consider mainstream teachers with strong differentiation and behaviour-management experience who are interested in moving into specialist education.
QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification is required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
