Graduate Learning Support Assistant

Protocol Education are working with a well‑respected secondary school in South Tyneside that is seeking a motivated Graduate Learning Support Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Situated in a thriving coastal area with excellent transport links from Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead and surrounding areas, this is an outstanding opportunity to gain first‑hand experience within a successful secondary school setting.

This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. You will work closely with pupils both on a 1:1 basis and within small intervention groups, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

You will gain significant exposure to classroom practice, behaviour management strategies, SEND support, and learner engagement techniques, making this an ideal stepping stone into teacher training.

• Delivering targeted 1:1 support to students requiring additional guidance
• Leading and supporting small group intervention sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
