Teaching Assistant Grade C BSL

A one-to-one Teaching Assistant post at Hill Park Special School, a three-site school for pupils aged 4 to 16, tied to a single pupil for as long as that pupil attends. The role is to support a deaf Key Stage 2 pupil with complex learning needs, initially at the primary site. It calls for British Sign Language, with Level 2 required or Level 1 and a commitment to train, and includes intimate care with full training given.

Enhanced DBS is needed for all posts.

• Support one pupil one-to-one in KS2 who is deaf and has complex learning needs
• Work at the primary site in the first instance
• Support the pupil's communication and learning using British Sign Language

• Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
• BSL Level 2, or BSL Level 1 with a commitment to training to Level 2
