White Label are very excited to be working with our longstanding client who are now keen to expand their team with a Design Engineer in Sunderland.

The company specialises in bulk material handling and plant processing markets, offering services across sectors such as mining, tunnelling, quarrying, oil & gas, and more.
We are recruiting for a Design Engineer to be an integral part of the team:

Your
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for all aspects of design
* Undertake Risk Assessments and FMEA.
* Organise and attend regular multi-disciplinary design reviews.
* Produce required legislative documentation.
* Monitoring of budgets and project plans.
* Liaison with customers and suppliers.
* Generation of ‘Design, Operation and Maintenance’ documentation.
* Provide customer support, as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* HNC in relevant design or engineering discipline, or equivalent
* Previous experience in material handling or similar
* Good 3D CAD software knowledge (Autodesk Inventor or Revit preferred).
* Understanding of the design process, and its associated documentation.
* Good knowledge of manufacturing processes associated with heavy fabrication.
* Understanding of mechanical and structural design principles.
* Good understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA).
* Proficient at using Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to clearly communicate design ideas, both internally and externally.
