Sunderland City Council are looking appoint to the permanent position of Technician in the Highways Operations Team.

The postholder will ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, highway permit scheme requirements, statutory duties and Council procedures, helping to protect highway users, employees, contractors and the Authority.

To contribute to the Highways Operations Section in design, surveying/ estimating of both in house and external highway/structures/flooding and coastal schemes.

Must hold a full UK/ EEC Driving Licence

Must be prepared to work in all weathers.

Must be able/prepared to meet the travel requirements of the post
