This is an excellent opportunity to lead complex engineering and construction projects from initial concept through to completion, taking full responsibility for programme, budget, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will oversee the complete project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget (commercial awarness is essential), and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing engineering and construction projects from award through to handover
* Developing and maintaining project programmes and cost plans
* Leading project kick-off meetings and regular progress reviews
* Coordinating engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and handover activities
* Managing project budgets, cashflow forecasts and commercial performance
* Monitoring project risks, opportunities and mitigation plans
* Identifying and managing scope changes, variations and compensation events
* Maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
* Producing project reports and communicating progress internally and externally
* Leading and developing project teams to achieve successful project delivery
About You
We are looking for a motivated Project Manager who can confidently lead projects in a fast-paced engineering environment.
You will ideally have:
* HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering or technical discipline
* Formal Project Management qualification (APM, PMI, PRINCE2 or similar)
* Previous experience delivering engineering, industrial, construction or infrastructure projects
* Experience managing project budgets, schedules and commercial performance
* Knowledge of contract management and change control processes
* Strong stakeholder and client management skills
* Experience leading and developing teams
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Proficiency with project planning software such as MS Project or Primavera P6
