The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a County Lines Regional Coordinator to join the North East Regional Organised Crime Unit (NEROCU). Working as part of the National County Lines Coordination Centre (NCLCC) network, you will play a key role in coordinating and enhancing the regional response to county lines criminality, exploitation and organised crime.

You will work closely with police forces, regional and national partners, the National Crime Agency, and safeguarding agencies to develop and drive activity across the Pursue, Prevent, Protect and Prepare strands of the Serious and Organised Crime Strategy. As the regional point of contact for county lines activity, you will support investigations, identify opportunities to disrupt criminal networks, improve intelligence sharing and help safeguard those at risk of exploitation.

What you’ll do:
  • Coordinate and improve the law enforcement response to county lines activity across the region.
  • Provide tactical advice and support to Senior Investigating Officers, investigators and partner agencies.
  • Work collaboratively with police forces and national partners to identify, develop and progress operational opportunities.
  • Enhance intelligence and information sharing to develop a comprehensive understanding of the county lines threat.
  • Convene and lead multi‑agency meetings to coordinate activity and improve partnership responses.
  • Monitor and support regional disruption activity, ensuring opportunities across the 4P framework are maximised.
  • Coordinate regional contributions to national county lines initiatives and intensification periods.
  • Support analytical activity, identify emerging trends and promote evidence‑based responses to criminal exploitation.
  • Deliver training, awareness sessions and professional development opportunities to officers, staff and partners.
  • Represent NEROCU at local, regional and national meetings, forums and working groups. The post holder will be expected to travel across the NE region on a regular basis, and nationally as required. Therefore, possession of a full UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.
