Youth Engagement Officer

The Foundation of Light is seeking to recruit highly motivated individuals to join our Belonging and Social Connectivity team. The successful candidate will deliver intentional one-to-one mentoring sessions and targeted group interventions tackling attendance, risky behaviours and physical/mental health barriers. They will liaise with the Community Cohesion Manager and project coordinators to develop engaging and unique programmes to be delivered in schools and community settings.

They will support targeted programmes addressing careers and academic performance with pre-NEET young people who are experiencing social isolation, inequality and community tensions.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-to-one mentoring sessions and group interventions.
  • Tackle attendance, risky behaviours and physical/mental health barriers.
  • Liaise with the Community Cohesion Manager and project coordinators.
  • Develop engaging programmes for schools and community settings.
  • Support careers and academic performance programmes for pre-NEET young people.
