Assistant Cook – Day Services

The successful applicant will work as part of a small team in an industrial kitchen, providing meals to people with varied diets.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the preparation of all food and beverages as and when required, as directed by the cook or manager, whilst ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Deputising in the absence of the cook – preparing, cooking and serving food in accordance with defined standards and quality, working within CQC guidelines regarding current health safety and hygiene legislation and the Health and Safety policy, with the aim of achieving high standards of customer care and good quality at low cost.
• Maintaining excellent standards within the kitchen to meet the needs of environmental health and help maintain the current hygiene rating of 5 stars.
