We have an opportunity fora Senior Pharmacy Technician / Dispensary Manager tojoin our in-patient Pharmacy team. You will be based at Sunderland Royal Hospital but be able to work across all our in-patient dispensaries across all of South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust sites. The Trust has invested in modern pharmaceutical facilities including full electronic prescribing with decision support, automated dispensaries and extensive 7-day clinical services to enhance the patients experience of careby improving the quality, safety and effectiveness of their medicines utilisation. This is an exciting time to join the team and shape the future dispensary services across South Tyneside and Sunderland Foundation Trust.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is team-orientated and shares our passion for improving patient care. You will need to be an experienced Pharmacy Technician working at Band 4 or above with a relevant pharmaceutical qualification and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). You will also need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated and well organised. As Senior Pharmacy Technician / Dispensary Manager you will managea team of dispensers and work alongside our Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Dispensing Assistants to provide integrated pharmaceutical care for service users in the Trust, including service level agreement with ourpartner organisation Choice Ltd.,

to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines. As part of the Pharmacy team, you will be required to contribute to the 7-day rota which includes weekends and late night duty
