Private Client Lawyer

A well-established and highly regarded firm based in the heart of Sunderland are looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Lawyer. Following the acquisition of a historic Sunderland high street firm, the opportunity for the right candidate awaits.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Private Client Lawyer based in Sunderland. The Private Client Lawyer will handle a varied caseload, including drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney while providing tailored advice on estate planning and administration issues.

With exposure to high-quality and often complex work. The successful candidate will join a supportive and knowledgeable team environment where technical development is encouraged. The role offers genuine breadth, including but not limited to estate planning, trust work with scope to be involved in more complex and cross-border matters depending on experience.

The role requires delivering excellent client care and maintaining relationships with existing clients while fostering new business opportunities.

📍Elliott James Legal have offices across the UK with bases in Wetherby, Bradford, Stockton and Sunderland.

Applications are encouraged from Solicitors or Legal Executives with several years’ experience, whether an experienced Paralegal, CILEX or Solicitor.

• Experience in matters such as Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Administration of Estates
• Ability to work to deadlines, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
• Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts
• Technically strong with an eye for detail
• STEP qualification or progress toward completion is an advantage.
