Our client specialises in the provision of bespoke automation and materials handling solutions to some of the biggest names in the UK. As a result of continued success and an ongoing planned program of strategic expansion, they are now seeking to recruit an articulate, dynamic and highly self-motivated and experienced Site Manager / Site Supervisor to complement their established and successful project team.
Working with others in the team, the successful candidate will be tasked with management of the implementation of automated equipment in the network for a major retailer within the UK.
The successful Site Manager candidate will possess qualifications, knowledge and experience allied to the management of CDM sites, particularly the Principal Contractor role. You will demonstrate a proven background and track record, ideally allied to materials handling systems or automation projects, and will possess excellent management skills and the ability to work both autonomously and on your own initiative as well as part of a multi skilled team.
You will be comfortable in working closely in a customer facing environment with internal and external contacts, so exceptional communication skills at all levels are essential for the position.
You will be responsible for a range of activities including (but not limited to) the site management of the installation of automated systems into both live operational and Greenfield sites, the coordination and communication with suppliers and the customer, and managing contractors to support the installation. Ideally, you will be able to manage small projects independently.
To be considered for this varied and challenging Site Manager role in Sunderland, you will demonstrate previous experience in the site management of materials handling installations with experience of CDM. You will hold a current SMSTS qualification as a minimum. Additionally you will be flexible to travel throughout the UK and therefore a valid, full driving licence is essential for the position.
