We now have an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Operative to join our busy team.
About the role :As an Assembly Operative at Salamander Pumps, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products are built to the highest standards. Working within a friendly and dedicated team, you will be responsible for assembling components accurately and efficiently, following established procedures and quality guidelines.
Your day to day :- Assemble products in accordance with the company’s Standard Work Instructions, ensuring all quality and efficiency standards are met and adhering to accreditation procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational targets.
- Support Line Leaders and the wider team in complying with the Health and Safety at Work Act and factory safety regulations, while maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
- Undertake additional duties as required to assist the Production Supervisor in achieving optimal performance.
- Assist in the maintenance and care of tooling and equipment.
- Your skills and experience should include;
- A continuous drive towards H&S regulations (and also any continuous improvement initiatives)
- Previous experience within a manufacturing / warehouse environment (this is not essential, as we’ll train you up!)
- Flexibility to support other areas of the warehouse when required, meaning that a team player is required for this role!
- Being comfortable with being a little bit hands on (and on your feet for the shift). There will be some manual handling involved, moving materials that weigh up to 12kg at times
- Good attention to detail, ensuring that the products are fit for purpose
- Being able to work to targets, monitoring the KPI's you are set
- Basic numeracy & literacy skills
- Keeping a tidy and clean work area for yourself and others within the team

Working 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm Monday to Thursday and 7 : 00am - 1 : 00pm on Fridays... Did someone say early finish Fridays!?)
