Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £47,225 (inclusive of 22% shift allowance). Locations:
Washington. Shift Pattern: 3 Shift Pattern.

Position OverviewWe are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to fulfil a permanent position in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment. The role requires someone who can work well under pressure and use initiative to maintain and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Skills & Requirements- Time served – Full Apprenticeship (Dual Trade)
- Experience in a high-demand manufacturing industry
- Strong fault diagnostics and fault-finding skills for machinery
- PPM exposure, strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience with PLCs
- Experience with circuits and diagrams
- Effectively maintain a varied range of equipment, ensuring an acceptable level of health and safety
- Root cause diagnosis of all breakdowns and faults to prevent reoccurrences
- React to all breakdowns and requested tasks in a timely manner, completing relevant paperwork and ensuring the maintenance of all records
- Liaise with other departments and support project development
- Monitor manufacturing equipment performance with the aim of implementing process improvements
- Support in‑depth analysis of failure modes using suitable diagnostic tools
- Develop, implement and review Total Preventive Maintenance routines and ensure adherence to schedule once implemented
