Join M&S as a Security Officer, where you will play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for our customers and colleagues. This role requires staying calm under pressure, leading with professionalism, and delivering excellent service while protecting our stores, people, and products.

• Operate in a fast-paced retail environment, staying alert, responsive, and ready to step in when needed.
• Deliver customer‑focused service, greeting customers and providing professional support to both customers and colleagues.
• Help keep our stores safe and secure by preventing loss, responding to incidents, identifying risks, and supporting safe ways of working.
• Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body‑worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management.
• Stay calm under pressure, responding to challenging situations and supporting emergency procedures with professionalism and confidence.
• Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations, and create a positive environment for everyone.
• Adapt quickly to changing situations to support the store when needed.

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, confident, and professional approach.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
• A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe.

All candidates must be able to provide a 5‑year checkable work history within the UK.
