AboutThe Role
You will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week, typically Monday‑Friday, covering different shifts across a number of courts within a dedicated area around the home‑base of this advertised location. This role is mobile, covering a geographic area defined by a radius from your base location. There is no weekend or night work, but overtime can be offered on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank holiday.
Weekend rates are 1.5x for Saturdays and 2x for Sundays, with weekday overtime paid at 1.5x outside normal court operating times. Travel expenses and parking will be paid back to you and are processed three times per month.

- Attendance Allowance of £1 per hour can be earned on contracted hours, subject to meeting certain attendance‑related criteria.
- Help towards fuel expenses
- Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and guiding court users.
- Monitor premises and visitors via CCTV and x‑ray machines, and perform other security checks such as using hand‑held metal detectors on court users and conducting bag searches on arrival.
- Patrol and secure access to buildings and satellite buildings, maintaining contact with the control room via hand‑held radios.
- Respond to panic alarm buttons in judges' rooms, courts and offices.
- Respond to any security issues within the complex and record and report details of those incidents.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance required.
- SIA Licence and relevant security‑related experience.
- Possibly require a UK driving licence (location dependent).
- Strong people and customer service skills.
- Good diligence and high standard of work.
- Effective communication skills.
