Ashberry Recruitment are currently looking for Casual Housing Support Workers to work in the Sunderland area on an ongoing basis.
The Housing Support Workerwillplayanintegralroleintacklinghomelessnessintheareaandwillassistinprovidinganenvironmentwherepeoplefeelempoweredandmoveforwardwithconfidence ,knowledgeandsupport.
Duties Include:
- Providingemotionalandpracticalsupportto Clients
- Providingasafeandsupportiveenvironmentforthe Clients
- Empower and Support Youngpeopletoachieveindependence
- Buildpositiveandrespectfulrelationswithyoungpeople,colleaguesandexternalagencies
- Maintainasafeandriskfreeenvironmentfortheyoungpeopleandchampionthewellbeingofeveryclient.
- Ensurecommunicationsystemsaremaintainedanduptodate
- Beawareandworkwithin Agreedorganisationspoliciesandprocedures
Requirementsfortherole:
- Experienceofworkinginsupportedhousingessential
- Experienceofworkingwiththeclientgroup
16–25years - Experienceworkingwiththefollowingclientgroups–Domestic Violence and Mental Health
- EnhancedDBSCheck
- Musthaveaproventrackrecordofprovidinginformation,adviceandguidancetoclients
- KnowledgeandunderstandingofbasicITsuitableforanofficeenvironment
- Knowledgeofbasichousingmanagementtasks,i.e.rent collection,tenancyagreementsandarrearsmanagement
