UI Developer / Front End Engineer (UI Design Systems) Sunderland / WFH to £50k

Are you a creative UI Developer with a strong appreciation of responsive UI design?

As a UI Developer you'll collaborate closely with UI Designers, bridging the gap between design and engineering to build reusable UI components that present a cohesive visual style and deliver consistent customer experiences. You'll own the architecture, development and evolution of the design system, empowering teams across the organisation to build interfaces rapidly and reliably, championing accessibility and design best practices throughout the development process.

There's a hybrid work from home policy with 2-3 days a week; when you're in the office you'll be collaborating with fellow technologists in a relaxed environment in awesome custom built offices in Sunderland with a range of facilities and perks including free meals at the onsite restaurant as well as membership at onsite gym.

• You have experience with modern front end tools and development languages including Type Script, Vite, Lit, HTML, CSS, PostCSS, SASS
• You have experience with component driven architecture
• You have a deep understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards, e.g. WCAG, ARIA
• You keep up to date with best practices and emerging technologies within front end engineering
• You’re collaborative with great communication skills
