We're looking for a fully qualified train driver with at least 2 years of productive train driving experience who holds a European Train Driving Licence. This role is part of a talent pool for future positions.

• The driver must ensure all passengers reach their destination safely and on time.
• Maintain high levels of route and train knowledge to keep safety paramount.
• Communicate effectively with conductors, dispatch, control and customers.
• Work a 35‑hour week on a roster that may include early starts, late finishes and occasional overnight stays in London.
• Prepare, drive and dispose of traction units safely as per instructions.
• Identify, locate and, where necessary, rectify train and traction unit faults.
• Follow fault reporting procedures and keep line manager informed of any shortfalls in route or traction knowledge.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment, adhere to all rules, procedures and policies.
• Undergo competence and proficiency assessments as required.
• Keep current on personal publications, equipment and safety clothing.
• Work with uniform and safety clothing provided.

• European Train Driving Licence with at least 2 years in current post after training and route learning.
• Thorough knowledge of operational rules, regulations and train‑driving instructions.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, stay alert, punctual, reliable, and customer focused.
• Must live within 60 minutes drive of the depot or be able to relocate.
