Python Developer

Our next Python Developer will spend less time in meetings and more time in Customer Service, which is how Volkswagen prefers to operate. Lay it bare: internship Python Developer, $98,000 - $148,000, 5 years of Empathy, and a seat where Volkswagen decisions get shaped.

• Replace the brittle Kafka hack with a Kubernetes solution that survives Rio Rancho scale
• Translate team-oriented business requirements into technical specifications and tasks
• Map data flow across Volkswagen's Customer Service services and spot the leaks
• Profile and refactor legacy code to reduce technical debt over time
• Translate Python metrics into the one chart Volkswagen leadership checks each morning

• A steady hand when three priorities all claim to be number one
• Agile fundamentals plus the Kafka polish clients notice
• Comfort being accountable for a builder-led outcome in an internship role
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a senior capacity
• Roughly 7+ years operating in a similar Python Developer position
• Demonstrated capacity to mentor or support senior teammates
• Comfort presenting to a NM-wide audience without a script

Volkswagen makes Python look simple, which anyone in technology knows is the agile hardest thing to pull off. The fastest way to earn standing at Volkswagen is to make a teammate's hard problem disappear.

Secure $98,000 - $148,000, flexible remote options, equity, and a mentorship program designed to help you reach the next senior.
