Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow colleagues with seasonal resets and installations when needed.

SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $17.13 to $19.13 depending on your skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 3‑4 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role And Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology usage is critical for daily work, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential.
  • Holiday support:
    Hallmark’s operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, expect additional days and extended hours. On holidays such as Valentine’s, Mother’s, and Father’s Day, you may be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends.
  • Department resets:
    You may be part of a team responsible for installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Notification typically occurs two weeks in advance; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision:
    As part of Hallmark’s field organization you are part of a network of merchandiser professionals who support one another in their territories when needed.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor as well as in back stockrooms. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 lbs throughout the workday and up to 50 lbs on occasion. You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

Qualifications
  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • You can read, write, and understand English.
  • You can grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
  • You can operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • You have access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
  • You have reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
