This role is part of the Reality Labs team, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of these systems.

• Develop novel and scalable process and integration for wearable systems.
• Drive detailed design and process development, including design reviews, tolerance analysis, FMEA, DFM, FAT, SAT, requirement specifications, Statements of Work (SOW), calibration procedures, and maintenance procedures.
• Manage failure analysis and corrective action initiatives, driving improvements in yield, reliability, throughput, and unit per hour (UPH) performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams for adoption of new technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Physics, Optics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in the development of assembly processes and integration for display/optical imaging assemblies.
• Experience with adhesive for optical processes and opto-mechanical processes.
• Knowledge about setting up and implementing DOEs, data analysis, SPC control, Gauge R&R, root cause investigation, failure analysis, and implementing corrective action.

• Track record of delivering high-volume products to the market.
• Knowledge of display quality metrics and test equipment used to measure optical performance.
• Experience with precision optical assembly such as glass bonding, collimator lens assembly, and film lamination.
• Experience directing equipment development efforts at Chinese equipment manufacturers.
• Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, including design for manufacturability prototyping, and production ramp-up in the consumer electronics industry.
• Knowledge of developing active alignment equipment for light engines, camera modules, or similar.
• Experience managing particle contamination and implementing contamination control for micron-sized particles in clean rooms and inside automation equipment.
• Knowledge of specifying and calibrating 2D and 3D optical metrology instruments and measurement methods, such as white light interferometry, confocal sensors, machine vision, etc.
• Experience in 3D modeling/2D drafting using NX, ProE, or Solid Works.
• Interpersonal skills for working across teams, including internal cross‑functional engagements and external domestic/international vendor engagements.
• Experience developing processes and equipment for AR/VR applications.
• Collaboration and ambiguity:
  Experience handling ambiguity and collaborating effectively with large cross‑functional teams and multilayer supply chains.
• Knowledge of optical adhesive, structural adhesives, active alignment adhesives, related dispenser technologies, surface preparation, dispense and cure optimization.
• 6‑sigma experience (Green Belt).
