• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

Data Center (DC) Acquisition and Energy Finance team's (A&E) mission is to drive Google's operational excellence by strategically and cost-effectively acquiring the essential data center capacity and energy resources that fuel our global operations. Our team provides critical financial stewardship across all global investments and complex data center financing initiatives. This means meticulously managing resources, optimizing expenditures, and ensuring every financial decision supports Google's strategic objectives and long‑term sustainability. We lead the charge in achieving our ambitious 24/7 renewable energy and carbon‑free energy goals, integrating sustainability directly into our financial and acquisition strategies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$201,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Own, manage, and analyze Google's energy and renewable energy data portfolio, tracking project costs, generation, availability, and profitability.
• Develop and maintain accurate forecasts and month‑end close for energy costs/generation, and collaborate with Finance/Accounting to provide essential financial information for exceptional reporting.
• Build scalable tools and processes (including those for contract performance) to enhance analytical efficiency and support data initiatives for portfolio performance scaling.
• Work closely with third‑party vendors, utilities, and suppliers to validate monthly settlements, analyze energy invoices, and ensure timely and accurate payment.
• Collaborate internally to support reporting on renewable energy purchases, consumption, and progress toward goals, and assist the team in managing renewable energy contracts and utility agreements.
