Based in Sunnyvale, CA, this role will report directly to the Vice President of Human Resources for the Platform Systems Division. The HR Manager is an integral member of the leadership team for our client ’s switching business. The role will work closely with the SVPs and their direct reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing successful talent and leadership programs, organizational development/effectiveness strategies, employee engagement, company-wide HR initiatives.
This is a high impact position where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to affect significant positive leadership growth and employee engagement.
This position partners with the senior leaders to diagnose the global talent implications within the business units and functional organizations.
Leadership EffectivenessPartners with Learning and Organizational Development team to provide focus and appropriate resources for the leadership needs. Initiatives include on-boarding newly hired or promoted senior leaders and developing bench strength for succession and talent management.
HR Functional EffectivenessResponsible for the successful implementation of the processes, frameworks and tools in support of the business needs in the areas of staffing and university relations, career and leadership development, compensation, performance management, employee development and talent (retention and attrition) management.
Employee Resource ManagementPartners with business leaders to create high performing organizations with a focus on employee engagement and team effectiveness.
candid bi lities- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business and human resources preferred
- A minimum of 8 years related experience
- Experience and credi bi lity as a business partner in an environment where the a bi lity to influence and build relationships is critical
- Demonstrated a bi lity to provide practical, solution-driven initiatives and human resource processes
- Credi bi lity as a trusted advisor and confidant to senior management
- Knowledge of organizational development and performance management techniques and models
- Strong business acumen and project management skills
- Successful teaming with colleagues with a strong results orientation
- Highly effective communicator
- A high energy individual capable of taking control of their responsi bi lities and establishing him/herself as a credible strategic business partner
