Key Leadership Accountabilities Strategic Workforce Planning- Partner with executives and department leaders to anticipate staffing needs and align workforce planning with business objectives.
- Develop innovative recruiting strategies, with an emphasis on building equitable pipelines and advancing underrepresented talent into leadership pathways.
- Establish succession and development frameworks for critical frontline positions (e.g., drivers, mechanics) to strengthen organizational resilience.
- Provide key recruiting metrics on hiring and turnover.
- Serve as a culture ambassador, driving initiatives that foster inclusion, accountability, psychological safety, and employee well‑being.
- Launch wellness and engagement programs that enhance employee morale and retention across multiple sites.
- Build external partnerships with community organizations and nonprofits to align corporate social responsibility with employee participation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, proactively identifying risk and implementing corrective strategies.
- Oversee investigations, grievance processes, and represent the organization at hearings when necessary.
- Continuously review, update, and enforce HR policies to reflect evolving legal and business needs.
- Lead HRIS governance, ensuring data integrity, accurate reporting, and scalable processes.
- Oversee benefits administration, open enrollment, and leave management with a focus on compliance and employee experience.
- Partner with Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
- Regularly provide metrics‑based data on HR programs and initiatives.
- Assess division training needs and design leadership development programs for staff and drivers.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation to ensure alignment with organizational values.
- Guide managers in performance management, coaching, and succession planning to elevate leadership capabilities across the company.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced HR certifications encouraged.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 4 years in a management capacity.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Highly collaborative style.
- Resourceful, inventive, self‑motivated and able to independently lead.
- Ability to coach, mentor and advise where appropriate to help managers and employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals.
- Impeccable judgment and ability to balance the needs of the company and employees alike.

- Comprehensive knowledge of employment and labor law, with strong experience in California highly preferred.
