Capacity Planning Manager

Overview

HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self-motivated Capacity Planning Manager to join it in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.

Base pay range: $70.00/hr - $75.00/hr

Pay Range:
Minimum: $70/hr;
Maximum: $75/hr.

Contract

• Develop and implement strategies for demand planning and load balancing to optimize the use of space and power in data centers and labs.
• Manage the placement and movement of lab racks based on detailed analysis of demand forecasts and capacity constraints.
• Work closely with Technical Program Managers (TPM) to ensure project success and alignment with broader organizational goals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory and asset locations using advanced tracking systems.
• Analyze data to identify trends, predict future needs, and prepare detailed reports to inform decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address capacity issues and implement solutions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards in all operations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive capacity planning process and procedure documentation, including runbooks.
• Generate systematic reports and provide regular capacity summary status updates.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to automate repetitive activities.

• Proven experience in capacity planning, inventory management, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in data handling and the use of spreadsheets and inventory/asset tracking systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with technical program managers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Experience in a data center or lab environment. Familiarity with data center infrastructure and operations.

• Advanced Excel (Must)
• VBA (Must)
• SQL queries, Good to have.
