WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking individuals with experience in high-level negotiations for computer infrastructures, achieving significant cost savings (in the millions of dollars), and with strong contract experience.
WHAT ARE THE DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES?
Perform sourcing, negotiation, supplier selection, and contract review within assigned categories. Develop sourcing strategies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive initiatives to realize these savings without compromising quality or service levels. Manage supplier relationships, improve performance, and administer contracts, maintaining documentation and reports.
QualificationsWHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?
- A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or similar certification is a plus.
- Recent experience with Oracle 11i Purchasing Module or similar ERP system is required.
- 5+ years in Purchasing and Contract Negotiation, including RFP development, bid solicitation, bid analysis, and contract review.
- A proven track record of cost savings is desirable.
- Experience in computer hardware, software, and professional services procurement is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office software.
- Experience in indirect (MRO) purchasing, especially negotiating with mainframe, hardware, and software suppliers in a data center environment, with recent cost-saving achievements, is highly valued.
