Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled SAS Developer to design, develop, and support data-driven solutions using SAS. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in SAS programming, data manipulation, reporting, and analytics, along with solid SQL and data warehousing knowledge. You will work closely with business stakeholders and data teams to deliver accurate, secure, and high-performance data solutions.
Key Responsibilities SAS Development & ProgrammingDevelop, enhance, and maintain SAS programs using Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL, DATA steps
, and SAS Procedures.Create reusable and parameterized code for efficient data processing.
Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and validation from multiple sources.
Build ETL processes using SAS DI Studio / SAS Data Integration / SAS Enterprise Guide (as applicable).
Integrate data from relational databases, flat files, APIs, and enterprise data warehouses.
Optimize batch and scheduled jobs for large-scale processing.
Generate operational/analytical reports using SAS Reporting tools (SAS EG, SAS Studio, ODS, tabular/summary reports).
Support statistical analysis and model development in collaboration with analytics teams.
Interpret business requirements and translate them into reporting/analysis outputs.
Tune SAS code for performance (indexing strategies, dataset compression, efficient joins).
Conduct unit testing, QA, and peer reviews to ensure high accuracy and reliability.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform RCA, and implement fixes.
Document technical specifications, process flows, and coding standards.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders in Agile/Waterfall environments.
Participate in sprint planning, demos, and release cycles.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands‑on experience in Base SAS programming
.Expertise in DATA steps, PROC SQL, macros, formats/informats, ODS
.Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, etc.).
Experience in ETL development and data warehousing concepts
.Strong debugging, data validation, and analytical skills.
Familiarity with job scheduling tools (Autosys, Control‑M, Cron, etc.).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
