Senior Network Engineer, Out-of-Band Management

Drive the quantifiable analysis of measurements, or data and capacity forecast models for making networks more scalable, efficient, and deliver predictable user experience.

Evaluate the current inefficiencies, complexities, and flaws in network systems, and propose designs, software, and processes to improve them.

Develop software that improves the performance, safety, transparency, and manageability of network systems.

Architect, design, develop, and implement new features for Google Out-of-band Management networking evolution. This includes API development, Command-Line Interface (CLI) enhancements, and integration with network management systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and hardware issues related to switch operation, performance, and stability.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.

Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).Experience in Gigabit-Capable Passive Optical Networks, Network Operations, Networking, Scripting, Troubleshooting, Networking Protocols, and Data Center Networking.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $150000 - $217000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
