Embassy Suites Santa Clara-Silicon is a modern, all-suite hotel in Silicon Valley seeking a Director of Engineering to lead property operations, maintenance, safety, and sustainability.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee the Engineering department, ensuring the hotel s systems, guest rooms, and public spaces are well maintained and operate efficiently. You will help drive guest satisfaction and property performance through innovation in hospitality engineering.

• Direct and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility, including buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling, life safety, and grounds, in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Conduct facility inspections and supervise routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system.
• Direct, oversee, and maintain documentation for energy management, conservation, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Lead, manage, and communicate information about capital projects and property rehabilitations, including scheduling, budgeting, and contractor bidding standards.
• Obtain required licenses and permits to ensure full compliance with codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Direct daily department operations, including guest service standards, product quality, inventory management and cost controls, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, and meeting participation and facilitation.
• Monitor and develop team member performance, including supervision, professional development, counseling, evaluations, and recognition.
• Recruit, interview, and train team members.
• Maintain awareness of the annual salary range: $110,000 - $130,000, based on experience and location.
