Part Time Triage Nurse — An aerospace client is looking for a Part Time Triage/Registered Nurse who will respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.

Position: Part Time Triage/Registered Nurse
Pay Rate
: $55/hr.
- $60/hr. on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 24 months or longer
Schedule: 1st shift, Thursday and Friday 6:30am-3:00pm
Note: Thursday and Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm - may be asked to provide additional support on first shift to cover time off for other nurses
Responsibilities- Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.
- Deliver OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, blood borne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety.
- Note
: most of these services are performed offsite by an outside clinic, but the nurse will be responsible for scheduling, obtaining and reviewing all results from the clinic. - Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Dispense OTC Medications.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace.
- PT 1 st shift RN will address the work-related injury-illness need of the employees in Sunnyvale as well as responding to emergencies and supporting medical surveillance.
- Additionally provide administrative support for scheduling off-site physical appointments and collecting appropriate paperwork.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Associate of Science in Nursing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Ability to maintain confidential documents and information
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines
- Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations
- CPR/BLS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- 2+ years in occupational health
Preferred
Certifications:
- Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)
- Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal)
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)
