Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer
We are currently looking for a Sr. Software Quality Assurance for our team.
The successful candidate will work in a team of highly motivated and talented software engineers, responsible for delivering new capabilities on the 7750 Service Router (SR) in Nokia's IP Division. The Nokia 7750 SR product family provides high-performance networking which helps businesses stay ahead of evolving service demands driven by the cloud, LTE/5G, and the Internet of Things.
Responsibilities- Lead and perform development activities of high complexity features.
- Lead technically and support a small team or multiple features in the completion of a project/stream.
- Lead technical discussions with peers about enhancements or improvements in own area(s) of expertise.
- Create parts of architecture (small/basic) with a focus on performance and scale.
- Drive non-functional requirements within the team.
- Effectively handle complex customer issues.
- Improve the code base with measurable product behavior and own complex features to ensure delivery completion with quality.
- Knowledge and experience of routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP) and/or signaling protocols (RSVP, LDP).
- Experience and knowledge of Linux and programming languages (preferably scripting languages such as TCL, Python, Perl, or shell).
- Knowledge and experience of NFV (Network Function Virtualization), SDN, virtualized switching products, and related virtualization technologies (KVM/QEMU, Xen, VMware ESXi) is a plus.
- Experience in IP networking testing and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with networking test tools such as IXIA, Spirent, IPerf, Wireshark, etc.
- Proven aptitude for methodical problem solving, good communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a close-knit team.
- Accountable for quality, accuracy, and efficiency of own and/or team achievements.
- Minimum 4–6 years relevant experience and/or a graduate equivalent (or higher) degree.
