Job Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Marketplace Platform team, you will design and maintain frameworks to enhance Walmart's Marketplace capabilities, ensuring superior experiences for sellers and customers. Your role includes coding, debugging, optimizing , and monitoring app health, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with product and UX/UI teams. The team manages the Walmart Market Place Platform API, enabling 3rd party sellers to leverage services from Solution Partners.

• Coding/Building:
  Engage in coding (75-80% of your time), perform code reviews, debug and optimize code, work independently, ensure code quality and follow best practices.

• Proficiency in Java for backend services, including experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience with Type Script and frontend frameworks such as React.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs, system design, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or No
  
  SQL) and caching solutions.
• 5+ years of full-stack development experience in complex software systems.
• Experience working in platform teams or building shared tools/frameworks for other developers.
• Proven ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Prior experience with cloud-native technologies (GCP/Azure) and Dev Ops practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership abilities to lead projects and mentor junior team members.
• Experience in e-commerce or marketplace platforms.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to developer productivity, observability, or Dev Ops tools.
• Open-source contributions or internal platform evangelism.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant software development experience in building and maintaining complex systems.
