Our goal is to evolve Google’s internal development environment from a tool assisted workflow into a fully agent centric ecosystem. AI is fundamentally changing the nature of coding, and the Agents Foundations team is at the forefront of this shift, moving the developer experience from manual execution to high-level orchestration.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be on the Dev Mission Control UX team, building and integrating high quality UX. The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products, shaping central solutions and strengthening existing systems across the company.

• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, code quality, testability, efficiency).

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience programming in JavaScript or Type Script.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience with ML and Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Experience with a lifecycle of building products that increase developer productivity.
• Experience with Google infrastructure and building scalable systems.
• Experience in delivering high quality internal products.
• Experience in Go.
• Passion for developer tools.

US base salary range: $166,000–$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
