The Apple Cloud Networking team constructs software‑defined network infrastructure as an integral component of Apple Cloud. Our infrastructure serves as a pivotal foundation for delivering Apple’s services, including iCloud, iTunes, Siri, and Maps, to a global customer base of billions. We are a dynamic and collaborative organization where drive and teamwork are essential for success. Teams across Apple rely on our infrastructure to build scalable, highly available, and reliable services that operate seamlessly.

We’re looking for passionate folks who love building super‑scalable, reliable, and user‑friendly systems to support one of the world’s biggest cloud infrastructures. You’ll be designing, building, and running new services that help lead virtualized networks, computing, and storage. Working at our global scale brings some unique and tough challenges that require us to come up with radical innovations. These services are built using skills from different areas, like distributed systems, user experience, and modular and resilient programming.

  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in Java, C++, Go, scripting languages, Git, and configuration management systems.
• Architectural Expertise:
  Experience in building scalable services, architectural design, data structures, algorithms, microservice architectures, and APIs.
• Problem‑Solving and Communication:
  Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, deliver on bold deadlines, and drive closures, and the ability to prioritize and debug production issues.

• Hands‑on experience in building sophisticated and fault‑tolerant systems
• In‑depth knowledge on networking protocols and packet forwarding architecture
• Experience in infrastructure‑as‑a‑code and APIs
• Strong systems programming skills including multi‑threading, concurrency, caching, batching
• Strong and proven record of working with multi‑functional teams
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts, designs and decisions.
• Hands‑on experience with large scale production systems

• BS and MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
