Developer – Contract (Sunnyvale, CA)
Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a contract role with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will design and build highly scalable, fault‑tolerant microservices deployed on Kubernetes in cloud environments.
Rate Range: $49/hour to $53/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
DeveloperJob Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly scalable, fault-tolerant microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and reactive frameworks.
- Build and deploy next generation microservices in Kubernetes ecosystems on public cloud platforms like GCP or Azure.
- Architect cloud-native, distributed systems ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement comprehensive testing strategies using tools like JUnit and Mockito to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives and innovative products.
- Optimize application performance and maintain clean code practices, including code reviews, documentation, and adherence to best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6–8 years of experience in backend development with at least 3–5 years focused on microservices architecture and cloud-native applications.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot with hands‑on experience in building reactive microservices deployed on Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, performance tuning, and database design using SQL and No
SQL technologies.
Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
