About the RoleYou will lead a talented full‑stack engineering team shaping the next generation of social discovery experiences. This includes integrating intelligent content ranking, personalized feeds, video‑driven discovery, and sharing features across the Door Dash app. You will collaborate with product, design, and machine learning to deliver scalable, reliable systems. You will play a hands‑on leadership role, guiding both technology and the team that make social discovery possible.
Responsibilities- Lead a full‑stack engineering team working across backend, web, Android, and iOS.
- Partner with product, design, and ML teams to build features that make Door Dash more social, visual, and intelligent.
- Inspire a culture of technical excellence, inclusivity, and experimentation.
- Define a long‑term technical roadmap that balances innovation with reliability, performance, and user trust.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers while fostering collaboration and growth.
- Shape how millions discover new favorites using AI‑powered personalization and social context.
- Build intelligent systems connecting customers through authentic community content.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to translate data and insights into engaging, scalable product experiences.
- Drive technical innovation in a fast‑paced environment that encourages creativity and rapid iteration.
- Play a key role in redefining the intersection of social content, AI, and commerce.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of technical leadership or people management.
- Experience leading full‑stack teams and building products across backend and client platforms (Web, iOS, Android).
- A strong product mindset and ability to connect technical strategy to user value and business impact.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non‑technical partners.
- A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Base salary $193,800—$285,000 USD. In addition to base salary, the role includes equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package: 401(k) with matching, 16 weeks paid parental leave, wellness, commuter benefits, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, mental health program, and 11 paid holidays.
