ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a talented Android Software Engineer to join our mobile development team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications that deliver seamless user experiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring new features from concept to production and ensure the apps perform reliably  Remote may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain Android applications with high performance and quality.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to implement new features.
  • Optimize app performance, usability, and responsiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, crashes, and other issues.
  • Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.
  • Stay current with Android development trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Contribute to improving mobile architecture and development processes.
Required:
  • Minimum 3 years of Android development experience.
  • Strong skills in Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services.
  • Knowledge of Android Jetpack components and modern libraries (preferred: Compose, Coroutines, Room, Datastore).
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
  • Understanding of unit testing, UI testing, and test automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication.
  • Experience with cloud services (Firebase, AWS, etc.) is a plus.
Preferred:
  • You have at least 3 years of professional Android development experience.
  • You are proficient in Kotlin and/or Java, with a strong understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio.
  • You are familiar with modern Android architecture patterns like MVVM or MVP.
  • You are passionate about building intuitive, high-performance mobile apps.
  • You are a team player who enjoys collaboration and code reviews, and you take pride in writing clean, maintainable code.
WHAT YOU'LL DO In your first 30 days, you will:
