We’re building Coco Index to provide that continuity: shared knowledge that stays connected to its sources, findings that other agents canbuild on, and coordination that brings agents back into the workwhen they are needed.

Our foundation is an incremental engine that maintains derived dataas its inputs change. We want to extend that foundation into the infrastructure for sustained collaboration, connecting changes inthe world to changes in what agents know and what they do.

We’re starting with software engineering, where we can measure whether agents repeat less work, catch outdated assumptions, and complete projects more reliably.## The role Build the infrastructure that keeps agent knowledge current and helps agents work together on complex projects. As a founding engineer, you’ll work with us defining the future of the infrastructure and the company.## What you’ll work on
* Build and improve the incremental engine that keeps context fresh for agents.
* Rethink the infrastructure and interactions that help agents and humans work together.
* Enable agents to share findings, respond to changes, and resume work when needed.
* Work with the founders to shape the product’s direction and the company’s culture.## What we’re looking forFour core qualities. Infrastructure experience is a bonus.* ### Taste for developer tools  Chase taste and not hype.  You recognize the difference between a compelling demo and something useful to developers. You question unnecessary complexity, choose tradeoffs deliberately, and use AI with your own judgment.

You keep developing your taste by studying good products, seeking critique, and reflecting on your decisions.* ### Logical thinking  You reason through complicated systems and stay logically consistent.  You break unfamiliar problems into parts, follow how state changes, and test the assumptions that could break a design. You can write and debug code yourself and explain why it works. AI is part of the toolkit;

understanding and verifying the result remain your responsibility.* ### Ownership  You own something end to end.  You have built something and taken it to production. You have been the go-to person for a project or a team.* ### Curiosity  You want to understand what happens underneath the interface.  You follow a surprising result, chase a bug, or notice a missing piece before someone assigns it to you.

You are a proactive learner who challenges assumptions and reasons about what comes next for the system.
* Bonus  ### Infrastructure experience  A plus, not a requirement.  Experience building databases, compilers, build systems, runtimes, distributed systems, or developer tools is a plus. You’ve worked through questions of correctness, performance, concurrency, or recovery and can explain the tradeoffs. Strong fundamentals and the ability to learn deeply matter even if your previous work was in another domain.
