Job Summary
Cognizant is seeking an AI Engineer - Whats App Integration to build and deploy production-grade AI-powered conversational applications using Whats App Business Platform, LLMs, RAG, and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities- Build AI chatbots and virtual assistants using Whats App Business/Cloud API.
- Integrate LLMs, GPT, GenAI, and RAG into conversational workflows.
- Develop Python and/or Node.js backend services, REST APIs, and webhooks.
- Integrate Whats App solutions with CRM, ticketing, and enterprise systems.
- Implement conversation memory, context management, prompts, and AI guardrails.
- Build RAG pipelines using vector databases.
- Manage Whats App templates, opt-ins, session rules, and messaging compliance.
- Deploy and monitor applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Optimize performance, reliability, latency, security, and response quality.
- Hands-on AI/LLM/Generative AI application development.
- Experience with Whats App Business API / Whats App Cloud API or similar messaging platforms.
- Strong Python and/or Node.js skills.
- Experience with REST APIs and webhooks.
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Production chatbot/conversational AI experience.
- RAG, Lang Chain, Llama Index, Lang Graph
- Pinecone, FAISS, pgvector, Azure AI Search
- Twilio, Gupshup, 360dialog, Infobip
- Dialogflow, Rasa, Amazon Lex
- Salesforce, Zendesk, Service Now or other CRM integrations
- Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
- 5+ years of software/backend engineering experience preferred.
- 2+ years of AI/GenAI experience preferred.
- Must be willing to work in Sunnyvale, CA.
- Must provide work authorization, current/expected compensation, availability, and updated resume.
AI/GenAI Engineer with hands-on Whats App + LLM + RAG + Python/Node.js + REST/Webhooks + Cloud experience.
