Accounting Specialist - Accounts PayableThe Town of Sunnyvale is seeking a qualified internal candidate to fill the position of Accounting Specialist.
Join our Finance team and provide essential accounting support that helps ensure accurate financial records, efficient financial operations, and excellent service to the Sunnyvale community.
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the administration of accounts payable and the performance of entry-level accounting functions. Duties include processing accounts payable transactions; maintaining accurate vendor and financial records; matching invoices and receiving documentation to purchase orders; entering and posting data within the financial system; and verifying proper account coding and the availability of funds prior to payment.
Target Hiring Pay Range: $22.16 - $26.07 hourly
Full Pay Range: $22.16 - $29.99 hourly

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of experience in accounting, financial services, or a closely related field
- Valid Texas Driver's License
