The Town of Sunnyvale Fire Rescue is made up of a team of highly trained professionals dedicated to providing the highest standard of service to all those who may seek our help. We’re looking for motivated individuals who value teamwork, integrity, and public service.

Lateral entry up to $71,470 will be considered for those with qualifying experience.

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 100% paid for employee only coverage, 80%+ paid for dependent coverage
• $1,500 annual employer HRA contribution
• TMRS retirement 2:1 match
• Certification and Assignment Pay

• High School Diploma or GED
• Paramedic certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) or National Registry certification with the ability of obtaining TDSHS certification upon hire
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Class B Non-Commercial driver’s license within six (6) months of hire
• Must pass drug screen and physical agility test

• Firefighter certification from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP)

You must complete the full SFD Background Packet and Application. Packets will be sent to qualified individuals via email and are due to be returned to the Human Resources department within two weeks of receipt. Please return your completed packets to Human Resources at 127 N. Collins Rd. Sunnyvale, TX 75182 or via email to HR .

You will be required to pass a physical agility test, which will be administered at the Sunnyvale Fire Department Training Facility, located at 404 Tower Place, Sunnyvale, TX 75182. Qualified individuals will be contacted to schedule their test, following receipt of the completed SFD background and application packet.
