Material Handler

Overview

Join the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States. Dal-Tile is seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join our team in Sunnyvale, Texas. This role involves stocking, checking, wrapping, loading and unloading materials, and operating various powered industrial trucks as needed.

Pay rate information is provided below. Shift details are included in the responsibilities.

• Operate various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey orders to packing or shipping areas.
• Perform warehouse duties: pull/assemble customer orders, verify outbound orders for accuracy, conduct inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor products, maintain displays, move/store/replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts.
• Receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, process customer returns, and report damaged shipments for freight claims.
• Maintain a clean and organized facility; perform general upkeep such as sweeping and trash removal.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following Safety Program rules and reporting accidents or unsafe conditions to management.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• High School diploma or equivalent;
  Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
• 1+ years of distribution/warehouse experience.
• Minimum 6 months experience with stand-up forklift or order picker equipment. No experience required for pallet jack.
• Dal-Tile certification to operate powered industrial trucks.

• Good oral and written communication, record-keeping, and listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability and the ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Ability to work safely and conscientiously.

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM. Pay:
Entry Rate $18.04; 3-month progression to $19.13.
