Tennant Operator - D Shift/Nights job nyvale, TX. Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Tennant Operator to join our TEAM! The Tennant Operator provides a variety of support such as safely operating the Tennant Sweeper to clean debris in production areas, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to service requests.
Compensation and Schedule (D Shift):
Pay: 19.10 per hour; $1.00 Shift Differential;
Wednesday Midnight–6:00 a.m.;
Thursday 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.;
Friday 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.;
Saturday 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.
- Operates Tennant Sweeper and maintains clean production floors.
- Safely operates Tennant Sweeper to sweep and clean debris in production areas, and assist with other areas as needed.
- Empties trash waste containers and hoppers when needed.
- Performs daily operational equipment checklist and inspections.
- Performs preventative maintenance; makes minor adjustments and repairs.
- Completes parts requests and reports the need for major/minor mechanical repairs to Supervisor/Department Manager.
- Responds to service requests, completes and submits daily work reports.
- Uses required PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and gloves).
- Follows all safety procedures and protocols.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ years Tennant sweeper operator experience preferred. Minimum of 6 months of forklift operating experience.
- Organization skills, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious. Good record-keeping skills. Ability to understand and speak basic English.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
