- Develop detailed fire alarm system designs, drawings, and layouts
- Produce riser diagrams, floor plans, device locations, and wiring details using CAD or industry design software
- Ensure all designs meet NFPA codes, local AHJ requirements, and project specifications
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Lead Technicians, and field teams to ensure seamless installation
- Review submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation for accuracy
- Assist with design revisions, product selection, and integration of advanced technologies
- Support construction teams with design clarification and technical guidance
- 3+ years of experience designing commercial fire alarm systems
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable local codes
- Proficient with CAD platforms or fire alarm design software
- Familiar with addressable fire alarm systems and device selection
- Experience designing for commercial, institutional, or mission-critical facilities
- NICET II or III preferred (or active pursuit encouraged)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple design tasks simultaneously
- Valid driver s license and reliable transportation
