Purpose

To execute through administration, technical, and management techniques assigned projects to ensure successful completion, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction

  • Receive broad guidance from senior management regarding key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Manage people and processes to ensure effective execution. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.

Operational and Company Level

  • Assist with marketing the firm's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet project requirements.
  • Drive project profitability and growth.

Project Execution

  • Perform project development for complex projects, including finalizing scope, preparing bid summaries, budgets, and estimates.
  • Manage multiple projects daily to meet time and budget milestones.
  • Prepare and oversee designs, specifications, plans, estimates, and reports.
  • Review job cost sheets, prepare monthly billings, and ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Monitor and manage work-in-progress, billings, and receivables.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, resolve project questions, and assist with marketing presentations and meetings.
  • Supervise project personnel to meet professional standards.
  • Liaise with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams.
  • Review project changes and assess impacts on staffing and budgets.
  • Provide technical assistance on design issues and coordinate design aspects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Registered Professional engineer preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of civil engineering experience, including 3 years in project management.
  • Experience in land development, municipal codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AES, CIVILD, WSPGW, PCSWMM, Storm

    CAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS.
  • Experience with stormwater modeling, zoning research, and report writing.

Physical Demands and Environment

  • Primarily indoor office environment; outdoor work possible.
  • Mobility around office and construction sites.
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, use of PPE, and prolonged use of office equipment.
